ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) The New York State Attorney General s Office Wednesday identified the Rochester Police officers who shot and killed a Rochester man during a shootout Friday night.
The office says Samuel Giancursio and Michael Bennett fired shots at
Timothy Flowers as he turned and shot at officers who were trying to arrest him last Friday night. Police say Flowers had run from police through the backyards at the time he was shot. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The shooting happened as Rochester s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams
were conducting an arrest around 9:30 p.m. near Hudson Avenue and Durnan Street for Flowers, a high risk suspect. He was initially wanted for attempted murder, first-degree assault, and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to a shooting on

Gazebo damaged in Sullivan park

Maine State Police Sgt. Jeff Ingemi is investigating a criminal mischief complaint in Sullivan, where a gazebo at the Sumner Park was damaged Friday night. Two mailboxes in the area were also pushed over that night and had already been fixed. There are no suspects at this time.
Accident
Trooper Kim Sawyer and Cpl. Dan Ryan investigated a personal injury accident in Meddybemps Friday. As a result, Travis Pelletier, 27, of Calais was summoned on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. Pelletier was injured in the crash and treated at Calais Regional Hospital, police said.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) Three people were shot in a vehicle near Sumner Park and Monroe Avenue in Rochester Monday night.
Officers arrived on scene around 7 p.m. and found two city residents who had been sitting in a car a 31-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.
Around the same time, an 18-year-old arrived at Strong Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds that police determined occurred at the same scene.
A window at the Plum House restaurant on the corner of Oxford Street and Monroe Avenue was hit by gunfire, but police say no one inside was injured.

Three people were shot, including a man who suffered serious injuries, Monday evening on Monroe Avenue in Rochester, according to Rochester police.
Rochester Police Capt. Ryan Tauriello said that three people were shot on Monroe Avenue, near Sumner Park, at 7 p.m. Monday. The area is a busy commercial corridor with many eateries.
A 31-year-old Rochester man and a 19-year-old Rochester woman were both shot in the upper body and were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment, Tauriello said. The man, who officers believe was shot while inside a vehicle, suffered the most severe injuries and is in critical condition at Strong, according to Rochester police.
