Friday, January 8th, 2021 Margo J. Monteith, professor of psychological sciences, has been appointed as associate dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in Purdue University’s College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS), effective January 1, 2021. In this role, Dr. Monteith will develop and lead college-wide DEI initiatives, serve as the HHS liaison to DEI-focused committees and groups on campus, continue to lead the HHS DEI Committee, and collaborate with HHS unit heads and directors to successfully advance DEI programming and initiatives at all levels of our college. Prior to her arrival at Purdue in 2006, Monteith was a faculty member at University of Kentucky (1994-2006) and at Texas Tech University (1992-1994). She has served in various administrative roles in PSY (e.g., director of diversity, equity and inclusion, director of graduate studies), on various college committees (e.g., the Graduate Education Policy and Curriculum Committee), and in various university div
