Saturday, July 10, 2021 - 4:48 pm OGDENSBURG Ogdensburg City Council will consider applying for three grants Monday. The grants include a Brownfield Opportunity grant, a Community Development Block grant and a Historic Preservation grant. The BOA grant would provide up to $300,000 in funding with a 10 percent match. The BOA Program provides a neighborhood or area-wide approach to the assessment and redevelopment of and other vacant or abandoned properties. The Community Development Block grant  would allow the city to secure $50,000 in funding to develop engineering reports for the reconstruction of East David Street in the city. “The purpose of the Community Development Block Grant Program is to provide funding to develop preliminary engineering reports to improve municipal drinking water, clean water and/or stormwater needs that will result in a benefit to low-and moderate-income persons,” the resolution says.
