Beneficiaries can register with the National Institute of Social Defence
The Social Justice Ministry would give transgender persons a one-time financial assistance of ₹1,500 at a time that livelihoods have been affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Department of Social Justice secretary R. Subrahmanyam said on Wednesday.
Social Justice Minister Thawarchand Gehlot added in a tweet that the “immediate subsistence assistance” to trans persons would be given through direct benefit transfer, for which beneficiaries can register with the National Institute of Social Defence.

On Sunday, ULCCS completed the job of translocating an entire Oxygen Plant, assigned to it by the District Magistrate of Kozhikode. The 13KL tank from the PK Steel Complex was translocated to the Kozhikode Medical College compound by Sunday noon, said Kishore ULCCS official who is also on the board of national labour co-operative federation NLCF.
Earlier, Kishore had shared information regarding the job of translocating the Oxygen plant, which was carried in these columns. Sunday saw the culmination of the job, stated Kishore.
