More than 200 of Hillsborough Countyâs top high school seniors from 35 public and private schools accepted an invitation to share their accomplishments and take part in an essay contest through the 2021 R.F. âRedâ Pittman Tribune Scholars program. Leon County hosts Global Youth Service Day listening session

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â Kids from 11 to 18 years old are invited to attend the first virtual community-wide listening session for Global Youth Service Day.
The session will allow youth to discuss how the pandemic has impacted them, and ways they can work proactively to recover and thrive.
Those who attend will receive Community service hours from Volunteer Leon.

Mayor Ginny Dickey invites all Fountain Hills students in grades 9 through 12 to join the Mayor s Youth Council. Applicants should be students who are genuinely interested in the mission of the council, who are motivated and eager to make a difference in the community and represent their peers, as well as learn about local government, make new friends and have fun.
MYC members will have opportunities to plan and participate in a variety of projects. The group will meet two Wednesdays of the month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall in the second floor Fountain Conference Room. Applications are due April 12.
