The company has also invested an extra £20million responding to the pandemic. A spokesperson said, The average bill for 2021 – 2022 will be £446.82 and represents the twelfth consecutive year the company has kept the increase at or below the rate of inflation – the only water company in England and Wales to have achieved this. The new bill will be £96 lower in real terms compared to the 2009 - 2010 bill.

The Parkfields Community Centre aims to reduce food waste at the same time as ensuring that nobody within the community has to go hungry. The fridge operates on the simple principle of take what you need, give what you can and is stocked from a mixture of donations and surplus stock. It is supported by environmental charity Hubbub UK, which is a nationwide network to tackle food waste.
