The Manna House, which serves free daily meals to those in need, is expanding its reach in the community by offering delivery services for those who don t have transportation to the nonprofit at 2655 Lee Street. Part of the Manna House s strategic plan was to reach the segment of the population in our community who couldn t make it to Manna House, said Jessica Viator, executive director. We re here 365 days a year from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
Viator said Manna House has always served a hot, nutritious meal to anyone no questions asked. Then with COVID, there were some people who didn t have the means to make it to Manna House, and they were in need, she said. The Manna House started offering to-go meals because patrons couldn t dine in the facility. That might be the model for the foreseeable future.

“Throughout our journey, GoCare has upheld the principle that love and care must be spread to every corner. GoCare builds bridges and helps people in need.
“In particular, we help people enduring hardships to alleviate poverty and physical illness. These are the three most practical forms of support which will be given to families, in addition to providing medical treatment and equipment.
“In this difficult period, our friends in need should not feel embarrassed but be undaunted in seeking aid. GoCare will do its best to extend a helping hand to those in need, ” she said in a statement on Friday (July 2).
