BOKARO: The Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) management has cancelled leaves of all employees for April 13 after two trade unions here gave a call for strike demanding wage revision, among others.
The chief of communication at BSL, Manikant Dhan, said: “BSL has a healthy tradition of resolving issues through discussions with trade unions and workers’ representatives and this has helped in establishing a conducive industrial climate. It is expected from the trade unions and the employees that they would uphold the same tradition. It has been decided that no leave will be granted to employees and already sanctioned leaves shall be deemed to be cancelled. The employees abstaining from work on April 13 and 14 will be deemed to be on strike.”
