WATERTOWN â Samaritan Medical Center on Monday again expanded its limited hospital visitation. But some restrictions will apply to limit the number of people in facilities on any given day, especially with limited waiting area spaces and the ability to social distance safely.
The major patient group impacted by these new changes is hospital inpatients.
Now, two designated visitors per day are permitted. Exceptions may be made for end-of-life visitation, with coordination arranged through the nursing supervisor.
No visitation will be permitted for COVID-19 inpatients, COVID-19 Patients Under Investigation, or patients in quarantine â with compassionate exceptions for end-of-life.
Visiting hours are from 2 to 6 p.m. and all entry and exit will be through the Rotunda entrance, located between the hospital and Samaritan Keep Home.

The daughter of Ernest L. and Mildred Eckert Henry, she was born in La Fargeville, at the home of her grandparents on March 8, 1924. She was raised on a farm in the Great Depression, where her hard work and tenacious attitude cultivated a life-long determination to succeed.
She was a 1941 graduate of La Fargeville Central School and later the Watertown School of Commerce. During World War II, she was employed at Pine Camp (Ft. Drum).

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Mary A. Rice, 76, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Samaritan Keep Home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home, Watertown.
Mary was born on January 7, 1945 in Watertown, NY to the late William and Geraldine Brown Rice. Mary worked in Virginia at Cumberland School District as a custodian, cafeteria worker and a crossing guard. She later returned to NY to be near her family.

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Samaritan Health reports that a resident in the Samaritan Summit Village skilled nursing facility has died after testing positive for COVID-19 on December 20th.
The resident was hospitalized following the coronavirus diagnosis and had several underlying health conditions, according to officials.
