Dawn Nell Davis Brummitt, 1957 - 2021 Dawn Nell Davis Brummitt Dawn Nell Davis Brummitt, age 63, passed away on January 24, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK. Dawn was born on August 2, 1957 and lived her early years in Great Bend, KS and later moved to Wichita, KS. She attended Riverside Elementary, John Marshall Jr. High School and graduated in 1975 from North High School (where she was a cheerleader). She went on to attend Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1979 with a degree in Physical Education. While at OSU, she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority where she made many lifelong friends. After graduation, she moved to Oklahoma City, OK and went to work at Mustang Elementary School as a PE teacher. In 1987 Dawn moved to Coronado, CA where she took on many fun jobs before spending the last 30 years working with her husband, Scott Brummitt, at Raphael’s. Lake Township trustees approve CARES Act grants Patricia Faulhaber Suburbanite correspondent LAKE TWP. During the Dec. 14 regular meeting, the Lake Township Board of Trustees approved current CARES Subgrant Assistance program grants, reopened Lake Township CARES Subgrant Program and approved a CARES Act Subgrant agreement between Lake Township Board of Trustees and Stark County Commissioners. In addition to the numerous subgrants given to local small businesses and non-profits –totaling more than $500,000 – additional grants were approved for Arnold Funeral Home for $4,298 and for Soul Inspired Dance Complex for $5,000. Plus, trustees approved the purchase of a street sweeper Schwarze A7000 for road department in the amount of $252,833 from CARES Act funding.

Carol Tropple

Carol Ann Tropple, of Antigo, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at home. She was 76 years old. She was born on July 2, 1944, in Antigo, a daughter of Frank and Elvy (Aird) Tropple. She was a graduate of White Lake High School in 1962 and continued her education at Marathon Center in Wausau. She served in the United States Army as a medic nurse from Feb. 1, 1966, to Jan. 12, 1969, having been stationed in Europe. Following military service Ms. Tropple attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received a bachelor of science degree in nursing in 1973. She worked as a registered nurse at Lakeshore Manor in Madison for four years. She moved to Antigo in 1977 where she worked for the Langlade County Health Department as a registered nurse for 33 years, retiring in 2010.
