Sheikh Khalifa appoints Huda Al Hashimi to new role in UAE ministry

The President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has issued a federal decree appointing Huda Al Hashimi as Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs.
Al Hashimi, who is the Chief of Strategy and Government Innovation in the UAE government, is responsible for monitoring the development of the UAE government’s national agenda, verifying the government’s readiness and ability to implement and harmonise the UAE vision with its agenda, coordinate the related national strategy and offer consultations to the UAE government on issues related to government strategy and innovation.

UAE leaders, scientists, citizens and residents congratulated Nora Al Matrooshi and Mohammed Al Mulla on being selected to join the Emirati astronaut corp.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council said on Twitter, “With the support of our wise leadership, Emirati youth continue to make great strides and push their ambition to new limits. Today, two new Emirati astronauts joined the UAE Astronaut Programme. Our young talents continue to set a model example to the world with their determination.”

Dubai: talabat, the region’s leading food delivery and q-commerce app, has announced its pledge to hire 300 female drivers to its delivery fleet in the UAE by end of 2021 in efforts to improve gender equality and provide women with wider employment opportunities across all functions in the organisation.
As of today, talabat welcomed 14 female delivery riders across Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah to the fleet. Women currently account for 67% of marketing roles, 43% of the sales force and 40% of management positions at talabat UAE,reflecting the great strides towards empowering women in the workplace and promoting overall gender balance.
