Two students killed in C’nawabganj road accident

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Feb 18, 2021 (BSS) – Two students of Chapainawabganj Polytechnic Institute were killed in a road accident on Birshreshtha Shaheed Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir Bridge in the district this afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Mostafizur Rahman, 20, son of Md. Salim of Gopalgonj district, residing at Arambag in Chapainawabganj town and Minarul Islam, 20, son of Sirajul Islam of Ganka Milky village under Chapainawabganj municipality.
Police and eye witnesses said the accident occurred in the area when the duo were returning home by a bicycle from their Institute around 11.10am as a truck hit them and injured seriously.

Two students of a polytechnic institute were killed after a truck hit their bicycle in Chapainawabganj Sadar area this morning.
The decease Mostafizur Rahman (20) and Minarul Islam (20) were classmates at Chapainawabganj Polytechnic Institute.
The victims were returning to their homes on a bicycle after some work at the institution when the accident happened around 11:30am.
As they reached Mahananda Bridge, a truck hit their bicycle from behind, leaving them critically injured, said Mozaffar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station.
Local took them to District Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them dead, the OC told our Chapainawabganj correspondent.
