The family of an Ikorodu-born business mogul, Alhaji Lookman Onabanjo, popularly known as “Bugon” has been thrown into panic, following his abduction, Monday, at Agbowa area of Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area of Lagos State.
He was kidnapped alongside his driver and three others, while on their way to his farm in Ota.
The kidnap was carried out by eight gunmen with seven AK-47 rifle and one submachine gun.
The businessman owns companies among which is Bugon Oil and Gas, Bugon Autoland and Bugon Farms.
Vanguard gathered that three of the victims were released after some hours.

Newsmen gathered that three of the victims were released after some hours.
According to one of the freed victims, the gunmen made them trek for two hours until they got to a thick bush, where they were held.

The Wasimi Community Development Association at Mile 12 in Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area of Lagos State has called on the state Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to investigate alleged plans by the officials of the state Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development and the Lagos State Building Control Agency, to demolish the community.
In a petition titled: ‘Re: Planned Demolition of Property in Wasimi Community CDA, Maidan, Mile-12, Lagos State’, which was addressed to the governor and signed by the Chairman of the CDA, Apostle Kingsley Afinjuomo, the community alleged that there was a plan by the ministry and the agency in collaboration with property developers to demolish about 90 property in the community, calling on the governor to intervene quickly.

Two businessmen have been shot dead after gunmen invaded Igbe-Lara community, in Igbogbo-Bayeku Local Council Development Area of Lagos State.
According to reports, the men were gunned down on Sunday, December 6, 2020. It was gathered that the gunmen numbering about 15 were armed with sophisticated weapons and started their shooting spree immediately they stormed the Igbe-Lara bus stop at about 4:00 pm.
While a yet-to-be-identified victim was shot in front of Dre Bar, a leisure centre; another victim identified as Olanrewaju Olamiposi Omobolaji, aka Excel, was gunned down inside a pub, Garden Bar.
While speaking to The Punch, a resident of the community said besides the two businessmen who were killed, other residents sustained various degrees of gunshot wounds and are receiving treatment.
