According to the Council Bluffs Police Department, the victim of the shooting is a 29-year old man from Russellville, MO. Authorities said the victim is uncooperative but stated that the shooting was not random. The victim arrived at Ameristar Casino in the suspect s vehicle. When the suspect returned to pick the victim up, he was shot once in the abdomen. The victim was treated and released from UNMC. The case will be closed due to the victim being uncooperative with the investigation.

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Neb. (WOWT) - Three governors in the region met with the Army Corps of Engineers on Thursday for a fourth time to discuss managing the Missouri River. Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts was pressing the Army Corps of Engineers for answers, hoping to prevent another flooding disaster along the river. The region has been hammered twice in the last decade, causing billions of dollars in damage and forcing hundreds of people from their homes and livelihoods.
