UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: Sharjah has imposed nine categories of fines up to AED 50,000 for environmental violations,
Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince of UAE, and the Deputy Ruler and Chairman of the Executive Council of Sharjah passed the resolution passed a resolution regarding the matter based on the recommendations of the Chairperson of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA)

Sharjah: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (Sewa) announced a reduction in rates as well as an instalment facility for insuring new consumption accounts for residential projects for private as well as commercial and industrial establishments. The reduction in rate goes up to 50 per cent. This new facility is aimed at supporting all sectors to overcome the economic and social impacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is in line with the directives His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Sharjah.
Sharjah: The Sharjah Department of Human Resources has announced in a circular that in view of the exceptional circumstances over the COVID-19 pandemic and the government’s concern for the safety of its employees and to ensure complete adherence to the precautionary measures, while maintaining service continuity, the competent authorities have been allowed to take all or any of the measures mentioned in the circular, according to the nature of work.
The circular mentions implementation of the remote working system for employees, starting Sunday, February 14, according to the percentage determined by the competent authority and in a manner that does not cause service disruption or reduce the overall performance of the employer. Employees whose duties require their presence at their workplaces will be exempted from this new measure, provided that the employer provides the highest level of health safety and security to those employees. Those employees must not be crowded at one place

The real estate sector in the Emirate of Sharjah has recorded a 5.1% growth in the total real estate transactions concluded over the year 2020, as compared to 2019. Figures show that a vast amount of 64,459 real estate transactions, worth Dhs 15.9 billion, were sealed last year, 2020.
Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, stated that the real estate sector in the Emirate of Sharjah has seen quantum leaps due to the incessant support of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, May Allah protect him, and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council of Sharjah.
