For Lakeport resident Kelly Kotelman, opening Bush’s - Home of Kelly Joy’s restaurant in Worth Township is a family matter.
Her grandmother and mother both worked at the former Bush’s Restaurant and now Kotelman has rebranded and reopened it, keeping the family involved.
“I look forward to seeing old and new faces alike,” she said.
Bush’s - Home of Kelly Joy’s opened at 6513 Lakeshore Road for carryout Thursday and started offering dining-in Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kotelman said the restaurant will be closed on Mondays and when she can hire more staff hours will extend from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Harvey Reinvestment Center in Port Huron will be the site of another vaccination clinic put on by the St. Clair County Health Department. Walk in appointments will be available between Noon and 6pm Friday and 10am and 4pm Saturday .
Also Saturday, St. Clair County Community Mental Health will hold a clinic, it’s open to any person 18 and over, but you will need to register on their website.
The Sanilac County Health Department will be hosting clinics at Sanilac County Community Mental Health’s Administration Building Friday and Saturday by appointment only.
A community clinic specifically designed for teens will be held Tuesday at Marine City Middle School. The Pfizer vaccine will be used which is approved for use in those 16 and older and you can register through the St. Clair County Health Department’s website.

More than two dozen staff and student cases of the coronavirus have been newly reported at several schools around St. Clair County mostly in Marine City and Marysville.
That’s according to the latest data sent to the state by local health officials, marking a shift since last week when there were no new or ongoing cases listed for local districts. New and ongoing school outbreaks are updated Mondays.
Marine City middle and high schools, which are connected by a cafeteria, returned to remote learning on Monday as a result of the rise in cases. The high school was reported to have nine cases among students and staff, as of Monday afternoon, and East China Schools Superintendent Suzanne Cybulla said parents of affected students were notified of the shift before noon on Saturday
