The comedian took to social media on January 30th to share a picture of the notification informing him he had tested positive for the virus, describing the infection as the worst illness I have ever had .
He wrote: This came through on Christmas Day. This is the worst illness I have ever had, debilitating headaches, muscle joint and even skin pain, dizziness, nausea, no appetite, incredibly chronic fatigue .
Bad news: The 54-year old confirmed he and wife Melanie had tested positive for the highly infectious virus in December, with its symptoms leaving them floored

Comedian and presenter John Bishop has said that he and wife Melanie are getting a little stronger each day after being flattened by Covid-19, and has thanked well-wishers for their support.
Bishop said he had suffered debilitating headaches, muscle joint and even skin pain, dizziness, nausea, no appetite, incredibly chronic fatigue . My wife and I are fit non smokers and it s flattened us, he added. I don t wish this on anyone.
