Grappling with COVID 19 is not easy. People all across the country are facing the brunt of the coronavirus crisis. Living in the pandemic for over a year now, we know how going out and meeting people you love is a luxury. It is high time we learn how unsafe it is to step out and going distances to get a glimpse of your loved one. A Mumbaikar on Thursday raised a query on Twitter asking Mumbai Police about the procedure to meet his girlfriend. @MumbaiPolice what sticker should I use in order to go out and meet my girlfriend? I miss her, a social media user asked on Mumbai Police on Twitter. Without much ado, the Mumbai Police responded to the gut with a zany which will surely make you go aww. We understand itâs essential for you sir but unfortunately it doesnât fall under our essentials or emergency categories! Distance makes the heart grow fonder & currently, you healthier. P.S. We wish you lifetime together.

India, South Asia’s largest country, stretches from the top of the Himalayan North right to down to Kanyakumari on the southern tip. Globally, it is the second-most populous country after China and, by landmass, the seventh-largest. Both Pakistan and Bangladesh are distinct from their neighbour, despite sharing a common history, culture and languages. To a larger extend, so do Nepal and Sri Lanka. Less so Bhutan and the Maldives. Yet real differences are borne of the prevailing political tensions that are the result of India’s pursuit of regional dominance. For superpower tendencies have resulted in subcontinental divisions, even within India itself, where commonalities are underestimated or even denied.

The Maoists claimed in a statement on Wednesday that security forces had on April 19 dropped 12 bombs from a drone near a village in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district.
The Chhattisgarh police said the “allegation being levelled by Maoists regarding air strike/drone attack are totally baseless and it’s an outcome of fear and confusion in the rank and file of Maoist cadres”.

Get COVID-19 shot and take home packets of tomatoes: Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur encourages all to get vaccinated
In a significant step, the Indian government has announced that all persons above 18 years of age will be eligible to get COVID-19 vaccine doses from May 1, 2021. At present inoculation is allowed for people above the year of 45. Now, under the liberalised and accelerated Phase 3 strategy of COVID-19 vaccination that would come in effect from May 1, inoculation will continue free of cost to the eligible population. And what is even more interesting is that a small town in Chhattisgarhâs Bijapur has adopted an innovative strategy to encourage people to come for vaccination.

Bijapur (Chhattisgarh) [India], April 20 (ANI): With COVID-19 cases on the rise, authorities of a village in Chhattisgarh s Bijapur have come up with an interesting way to encourage residents to get vaccinated - giving them tomatoes for each administered dose.
The Bastar village, largely dominated by a tribal population, has had its fair share of misinformation, fake news and other harmful rumours which created some hesitancy around the vaccines.
To deal with this, each villager is now given two kilograms of tomatoes at the vaccination center. This is being done to encourage people to get vaccinated. Some people are hesitant to take the vaccine so this is a good incentive for them to come out, said an official, Purshottam Sallur.
