The six-hour bandh called by Odisha Congress against frequent fuel price rise and other issues is being observed across the state today, affecting normal life.
Vehicular traffic has been disrupted in many parts of the state including in the capital city as Congress workers have resorted to road blockade at Satsang Vihar Square in Bhubaneswar.
Hundreds of vehicles have been stranded at Cuttack, Balasore, Bhadrak and Sambalpur. Emergency services including ambulance, milk vans, vehicles carrying newspaper and examinees have been exempted from the purview of the bandh. Besides, vehicles draped with flowers for marriages and hearse vans were allowed to ply on roads.
