The Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday observed a minute silence in honour of former Minister of Communications, Brig General Ahmed Aboki Abdallah (rtd), who died recently.
At the commencement of the weekly virtual meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, asked the cabinet members to stand for a minute as a mark of honour for the former military administrator of Kwara state.
Abdallah served the nation when President Buhari was Head of State, as Minister of Communications and later Minister of Social Development, Youth and Sports.

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a minute silence in honour of former Kwara State Military Administrator retired Brig.- Gen. Ahmed Aboki Abdallah, who died recently, was observed by the cabinet members.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, called on the cabinet members to stand in honour of the departed, who was a former Minister of Communications.
Members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday observed a minute silence for the former Kwara State Military Administrator, Retired Brigadier General Ahmed Aboki Abdullahi.
The Late Brigadier General Abdallah served in the Federal Executive Council during the military regime when President Buhari was the Head of State, as Minister of Communications and later Minister of Social Development, Youth and Sports.
He later became the Military Administrator of Kwara State from 1987-1988.

The minute silence was observed shortly before the commencement of the weekly meeting holding at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting which is being presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari has in attendance physically Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and the Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari.
