United Way Of Greater Chattanooga’s Restore Hope Fund Has Helped 1,132 Households Friday, January 29, 2021 United Way of Greater Chattanooga announces that the Restore Hope Fund has assisted 1,132 households, including 1,719 adults and 1,505 children, in the greater Chattanooga area.  In March of 2020, the Restore Hope Fund was launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support the greater Chattanooga community. The fund was designed to assist individuals and households experiencing lost wages or other adverse circumstances due to the COVID-19 crisis.  United Way partnered with 12 local nonprofit agencies to support the needs of those directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, including La Paz, Boys and Girls Club of Chattanooga, Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga, Rock Bridge Community Church, Helen Ross McNabb Center, Clinica Medicos, Bethlehem Center, Chattanooga Area Command, Northside Neighborhood House, Partnership for Families, Children and Adults,

The Salvation Army Announces Impact Of Rescue Christmas Campaign Thursday, January 14, 2021 The Salvation Army’s Chattanooga Area Command announced Thursday that 5,611 Angel Tree recipients, 2,376 families and 150 individuals facing homelessness were supported by the organization’s Rescue Christmas fundraising campaign. The impact of the campaign signals a sharp increase in the number of families who now meet the poverty threshold in the Chattanooga and Cleveland regions, officials said. In 2020, the organization saw a 64 percent increase in the number of families relying on The Salvation Army’s support.   “As we approached this holiday season, we understood the distinct challenges of meeting the tremendous need faced by a growing number of individuals and families in our area,” said Major Mark Smith of the Chattanooga Area Command.

BASF Chattanooga Donates More Than $14,000 To Area Organizations As Part Of Giving Tuesday, Holiday Contributions Friday, December 18, 2020 BASF Chattanooga donated more than $14,000 to several area organizations as part of the Giving Tuesday movement and holiday contributions. The recipients of BASF’s charitable contributions are the Chattanooga Fire Department, Chattanooga Police Department, Chattanooga Zoo, Chattanooga-Hamilton County Rescue Service, Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, Hamilton County Department of Education for Brainerd High School’s STEM program, Humane Educational Society, McKamey Animal Center, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Northside Neighborhood House, The Salvation Army’s Chattanooga Area Command and United Way.
