Kolkata, Feb 14 : Indian Arrows earned their first victory of the I-League season with a defiant 1-0 win over Mohammedan Sporting at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan on Sunday.
The All India Football Federation s developmental side displayed heroic defending and goalkeeping after Gurpanthjeet Singh s goal in the first half to hand Mohammedan SC their first defeat of the season.
Mohammedans started the game with high-intensity football, trying to press the Arrows for any mistakes. They created the first opening of the game in the fourth minute. Kalyani : , Feb 3 (IANS) Mohammedan Sporting held North Eastern Re-Organising Cultural Association (NEROCA) Football Club to a 0-0 draw in the I-League at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium on Wednesday.
Mohammedans goalkeeper Shubham Roy amde a number of key saves to help the Kolkata-based club take a point from the match.
This was also the second time in a row that Mohammedan SC have failed to find the back of the net. They made four changes to the team that played out a goalless draw against RoundGlass Punjab last week, bringing in Faisal Ali, Arijit Bagui, Sanjib Ghosh and Suraj Rawat. Kalyani : , Jan 14 (IANS) Churchill Brothers played out a 0-0 draw against Mohammedan SC in a cagey I-League match at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium on Thursday. Much of the match was played in the midfield as the two teams split points between themselves.
Churchill dominated possession in the opening minutes. Mohammedan were, however, threatening on the counter and Sanjib Ghosh was presented with an opportunity to score in the seventh minute against the run of play. But the midfielder ended up shooting wide of the target.
