Three such murals have come up in the neighbourhood in the past one month. At least two of the new artworks were painted over existing murals created by artists Okuda San Miguel and Mariusz Waras in 2014.

Dumka: Members of the legal fraternity in the state, especially in the Santhal Pargana, have welcomed the decision of chief minister Hemant Soren to set up a bench of the Jharkhand high court in Dumka. “We are glad to learn that the chief minister has approved the proposal for setting up a high court bench in Dumka, directing the building construction department to identify a plot for the same. The fact, however, is that around 13 to 15 acres of land have already been acquired by the district administration about a decade ago,” Jharkhand Bar Council advocate Gopeshwar Prasad Jha told TOI. Jha had recently submitted a memorandum to Soren in connection to the demand for a separate bench.

Now for some women’s T20 in Ranchi, pro kabaddi in Deoghar JSCA to host tourney from February 14 amid strict Covid norms Jharkhand State Cricket Association announced on Sunday to host a T20 league for women from February 14-24 at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on the lines of its maiden Karbonn Jharkhand T20 league held in September last year.   Titled Karbonn Jharkhand Women’s T20 Trophy, it will have five teams  Jamshedpur Jasmines, Dhanbad Daffodils, Dumka Daisies, Ranchi Roses and Bokaro Blossoms, comprising players only from the state, officials said. “There will be 21 matches in all and all of them will be streamed live on the FANCODE App. Similar live streaming was held during the men’s T20 as well. The finals will be played on February 25,” said JSCA secretary Sanjay Sahay.
