Tokyo high school teacher accused of paying girl for sex

KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have arrested a high school teacher for allegedly paying a 17-year-old girl for sex last year, reports the
Sankei Shimbun (Jan. 26).
On the night of December 10, Takanari Furukawa, 28, allegedly paid 60,000 yen in cash to the girl, a second-year high school student, to engage in acts deemed obscene at a hotel in Hachioji City while knowing she was a minor.
Upon his arrest on suspicion of child prostitution on January 26, Furukawa admitted to the allegations, the Sagamihara-Minami Police Station said.
Ibaraki: Researcher accused of molesting colleague

IBARAKI (TR) – Ibaraki Prefectural Police have arrested a male researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology over the alleged molestation of a female colleague, reports the

At around 10:30 a.m. on December on December 10, Takayuki Michishita, 41, allegedly fondled the chest and lower body of the part-time colleague, aged in her 20s, inside a laboratory of the institute in Tsukuba City.
Once the act was finished, Michishita pretended that it was done in the name of research.

“I did not carry out an obscene act,” Michishita was quoted by the Tsukuba Police Station in denying allegations of quasi-indecent assault.
Aichi: Security guard found with 500 school girl gym uniforms

AICHI (TR) – Aichi Prefectural Police have arrested a security guard who is suspected of stealing hundreds of school girl gym uniforms, reports the
Sankei Shimbun (Jan. 29).
At around 5:55 p.m. last December 4, Yuzuru Takeuchi, 47, allegedly stole gym uniforms, shirts and bags belonging to three high school girl from the baskets of their bicycles at a convenience store parking lot.
“I couldn’t control my sexual desire,” Takeuchi told the Nishio Police Station in referring to the items, valued at 21,720 yen.

GSDF staffer accused of molesting school girl

TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 35-year-old Ground Self-Defense Force member over the alleged molestation of an elementary school girl earlier this month, reports the
Sankei Shimbun (Jan. 15).
At around 2:00 p.m. on January 11, Takuya Kubo, a major in the Ground Research and Development Command, allegedly abducted the girl, a fifth-year student, from an event in Chiyoda Ward.
Kubo then took the girl into a room of a building in neighboring Chuo Ward and fondled her body.
The girl, who had participated in the event, was unharmed in the incident, the Chuo Police Station said.
Saitama: Man and son found hanged in Kuki garage

SAITAMA (TR) – A 46-year-old man and his son were found hanged in a garage at their residence in Kuki City on Monday.
Though no suicide note found, Saitama Prefectural Police are treating the case a forced double suicide, reports the
Sankei Shimbun (Jan. 5).
At around 8:20 p.m., emergency personnel working off a tip found the man and the boy, 11, hanged by their necks from ropes in the garage.
Neither body showed signs of external wounds, and there was no indication that the interior of the residence had been ransacked.
