KHAMMAM: In a gross violation of traffic rules, three woman constables were caught on camera for 1) triple riding in a two-wheeler, 2) not wearing helmets and 3) talking on the mobile on their way to duty, in Khammam. The incident came to light on Sunday, when the picture of these three women went viral on social media. The lady in the middle is seen putting the mobile phone to the ear of the constable driving, while the one at the rear end is also seen talking on the phone. The women were following the mask rule though.

Apart from fines, the commissioner also ordered departmental action against the constables.

Khammam: Three women constables on Sunday were fined Rs 3,000 for triple riding on a two wheeler without helmet in Khammam.
The constables, working with the city armed reserve police wing in the town, were assigned for bandobast duty at YS Sharmila’s ‘Sankalpa Sabha’ at Pavilion Grounds in the city on April 9.
Traffic police officials caught the act on CCTV cameras where the trio could be seen on a scooter without helmets and also talking on mobile phones.

YS Sharmila addressed a public meeting Sankalpa Sabha on April 9 in Khammam. Sharmila s mother YS Vijayamma attended the meeting expressing her support to her daughter s decision.
