EDWARDSVILLE Dieterich Bank, which has 14 locations including a temporary branch location at 5 Club Centre Court A, Edwardsville, has been named as one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois for the third year in a row.
To receive the designation bank employees completed a survey indicating that Dieterich Bank is a great place to find opportunities, competitive compensation and benefits programs, training and development, and a favorable culture.
The 2021 Best Places to Work in Illinois list consists of 35 companies in the small employer category (15-99 U.S. employees), 22 companies in the medium employer category (100-499 U.S. employees), and 12 companies in the large employer category (500 or more U.S. employees). Dieterich Bank was honored in the medium category.

EDWARDSVILLE Two suspects face charges after a reported gunfire incident in an Edwardsville apartment complex.
Erick R. Matthews, Jr., 24, of Alton, was charged with two counts of reckless discharge of a firearm, both Class 4 felonies. The charges were presented by the Edwardsville Police Department and filed Monday by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s office.
According to court documents, on Feb. 28, Matthews allegedly fired a gun in the direction of another person while in the “densely populated” Williams Estates apartment complex, in the 100 block of Club Centre Court. Bail was set at $30,000.
