MUMBAI: The Bombay HC is planning to organise a vaccination camp along with the BMC in the court premises soon for 1,000 advocates who are members of Bombay Bar Association, Advocates Association of Western India and Bombay Incorporated law society.
The vaccine which would be administered is Covishield. Registration with CoWin Vaccinator App is mandatory to get vaccinated at the camp. The date and time for holding the camp would be decided by the high court administration in consultation with the BMC and would be informed in advance.

Given the surge in Covid – 19 cases in Maharashtra, the Bombay High Court at its principal seat in Mumbai will hear criminal matters physically, while civil matters will be taken up through video conferencing, it was decided at a meeting chaired by Chief Justice Dipankar Datta, on Monday.
It was further decided that the CJ s court will function in a hybrid format, and hear matters, both, physically and virtually.
The standard operating procedure in this regard is likely to be issued tomorrow and the new arrangement is likely to be applicable from Wednesday.

Practising lawyers and registered clerks of advocates are now permitted to travel by suburban trains every day except during the evening peak hours between 4 pm to 7 pm.
Earlier, lawyers and clerks had not been permitted to travel in local trains during morning peak hours between 8 am and 11 am and from 4 pm to 7 pm in the evening, as part of restrictions imposed in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As approved by Ministry of Railways on the request of State Government vide their letter DMU 2020/CR/92/DM-1 dated 4.12.2020, permission to travel in suburban trains on Mumbai Suburban Network for practising lawyers and registered clerks of lawyers during timings as specified in press release no.2020/10/51 issued on 26.10.2020 is now extended to morning peak i.e. 8.00 am to 11.00 am also,â said an official.
