COLUMBUS, Ind. – Mayor Jim Lienhoop swore in the newest Columbus Police Department (CPD) officer, Zachary Romero, at Thursday’s Board of Public Works and Safety meeting at Columbus City Hall.
Romero is a graduate of Seymour High School and served in the United States Marine Corps for four years where he attained the rank of Corporal and earned a number of certifications before being honorably discharged. He was most recently employed at Valeo in Seymour.
Officer Romero will now begin orientation and in-service training at CPD in preparation for attending the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy later this year.
