Stories about small-town grocery stores continue to come in.
This one is from
Vincent Dalke, now of West Fargo, but formerly from Lehr, N.D.
During his growing-up years in the ‘50 and ‘60s, Vince writes, “We had both a SuperValu and a Red Owl store in Lehr. The population of the town was about 500.
“Our SuperValu store was owned by
Eugene Grenz. I worked for him for several years. His store sold everything you needed and more. He said, ‘If I don’t have it, I’ll get it.’
