Jan. 1 (UPI) WWE continued to entertain and thrill fans in 2020 despite the COVID-19 pandemic, never missing a show as fans worldwide were forced to stay indoors.
Things were still business as usual in 2020, with WWE surprising viewers with new partnerships, the break up of tag teams, sudden departures and the return of a Hall of Fame performer.

Bray Wyatt and his sinister alter ego, The Fiend, gained a new ally this year in the unlikely form of Alexa Bliss. The demented duo were first linked together during Wyatt s feud with Braun Strowman, who was previously close with Bliss.

A former WWE Intercontinental and Tag-Team Champion, Luke Harper (real name Jon Huber) was one of the most gifted men to ever enter the ring.
Luke Harper – real name Jon Huber – passed away on Saturday, December 26 at the age of 41. His wife, Amanda, announced the sad news on her Instagram page, revealing that Huber died of a non-COVID related lung issue at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Though he was working for AEW in the latter part of his life, he made a name for himself while working in WWE as Luke Harper.

Next up is a video package for Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler vs. Asuka & her mystery partner, and R-Truth interrupts the panelists to offer to be Asuka’s partner.
The Universal Championship and WWE Championship will both be on the line in tables, ladders, and chairs matches tonight.
Tonight s TLC pay-per-view will feature Roman Reigns defending his Universal Championship against Kevin Owens and Drew McIntyre defending his WWE Championship against AJ Styles in tables, ladders, and chairs matches. Styles has warned McIntyre that he won t be facing him alone, with Money in the Bank briefcase holder The Miz, John Morrison, and Styles associate Omos also set to get involved in the match.
The first-ever Firefly Inferno match will also take place as Randy Orton faces The Fiend Bray Wyatt. A game of hide-and-seek between Orton and Wyatt on last week s Raw ended with Orton putting Wyatt in a box and lighting it on fire. But The Fiend then emerged and put Orton in the Mandible Claw.
