TLC pay-per-view closed out on Sunday with Randy Orton defeating The Fiend Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Inferno Match, then setting his unconscious body on fire again after pouring gasoline on him. But within minutes of the show going off the air, Wyatt took to Twitter with a simple message Thank You. Earlier in the day, he posted another message writing, The thing about fire is, it does what it pleases. I burn, you burn, we all burn. Eventually. That post had a black and white image of a caterpillar, while the new one had a different image of a cocoon.
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre def. AJ Styles and The Miz (Tables, Ladders & Chairs Triple Threat Match)
In one of his most difficult and unpredictable tests as WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre overcame the odds to defeat AJ Styles, and surprisingly, The Miz, to hold on to his title at WWE TLC.
McIntyre imposed his will early by pummeling Styles and sending him to the floor with a thunderous chop to the chest. The King of Claymore Country tried to end the match quickly, climbing a ladder toward the title only to have The Phenomenal One bash his left leg with a chair.

(1) DREW MCINTYRE vs. A.J. STYLES (w/Omas) – TLC match for the WWE Title
Styles went after Drew’s knee as soon as the bell rang. Drew made a quick comeback and took Styles down aggressively. Drew also eyed Omas at ringside. Drew beat up Styles at ringside, then tried to climb the ladder. Styles kicked him in the knee and got in some offense. Drew came back and catapulted Styles into the ladder, but Styles landed on his feet and climbed the ladder. Drew knocked him down and then, more wisely, catapulted him into a chair wedged in the corner turnbuckles.
WWE TLC: Randy Orton Vs. The Fiend Bray Wyatt (Firefly Inferno Match)
Firefly Inferno Match: Randy Orton vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt
We go back to the arena and Mike Rome is in the ring with the rules. The only way to win the first-ever Firefly Inferno Match is to light any part of your opponent on fire. Out first comes Randy Orton wearing street clothes. Orton hits the corner to pose as the pyro goes off. The Firefly Fun House music starts up next. We see Orton waiting in the ring as the virtual crowd starts to shut down. The lights now go down and the arena is black. The red lights come up as the unique entrance of “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt begins. The Fiend heads to the ring with his head lantern as Orton seethes in the ring.
