It is your chance to help bring recognition to the exceptional women of Sarina with nominations open for the Mary Malone Perpetual Award.
Mackay Deputy Mayor Karen May said they were looking for women who had positively impacted their community.
“We really want to hear about community leaders, volunteers, role models, mentors and those who simply go above and beyond for the community,” Cr May said.
“Most of them do what they do because they love it, not for the recognition, however this is the perfect opportunity to acknowledge their efforts and say thank you.”
The prestigious perpetual award, whose past awardees included Colleen Burt, Dianne Barnett and Lyn Hackett, will be presented at the Sarina Women’s Week Awards.
