Warren Elected President of PubWest Board; Bryerman, Hernandez Join Board By Calvin Reid | Feb 11, 2021 The Publishers Association of the West, or PubWest, announced that Miriam Warren of No Nonsense Fly Fishing Guidebooks has been elected president of its board of directors. Warren succeeds Colleen Dunn Bates, who was named president emeritus of the board. In addition, the board announced that Publishers Weekly executive v-p Cevin Bryerman and Young Authors Publishing publisher Leah Hernandez will join the PubWest board of directors. Joining Warren as officers on the executive board are: v-p Rachel Bell, v-p of operations at Overcup Press; treasurer Amy Barrett-Daffin, publisher of C&T Publishing; and secretary Rachel Noorda, director of book publishing at Ooligan Press.

The purchase, which officially closed on January 31, comprises more than 100 existing titles and approximately 11 titles in the process of being published. Turner, headquartered in Nashville, bought the assets of Prospect Park, including its titles, inventory, the name, and other intellectual property. Turner CEO Todd Bottorff said he will maintain the Prospect Park Books and Tiger Van imprints and will continue to publish books under those imprints. Prospect Park was founded in 2006 by Colleen Dunn Bates, and has primarily focused on publishing regional titles, cookbooks, humor, and fiction.
