There will be two matches in Queensland this weekend, with the Gold Coast Suns and Brisbane Lions hosting Carlton and North Melbourne respectively, with the latter match to serve as a curtain raiser to the men’s match between the Lions and Sydney Swans on Saturday night. Elsewhere, the Giants will start hot favourites against the Cats in Geelong, while Collingwood – fresh off their first defeat of the season – will be heavily favoured to hit back when they tackle St Kilda at Victoria Park.
