A temporary mobile post office is set to start in Pulteneytown next month to restore service to the community.
Introduced by Post Office Ltd, the service is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 1. The previous branch at the Pulteney Centre in Huddart Street closed in September 2019 due to the resignation of the postmaster.

Local businessman Kevin Milkins says there has been a tremendous response from the public since he decided to launch a new post office venture in Wick.
He opened for business yesterday at 125-127 High Street, giving the town a shop-based post office service for the first time since the end of October. A mobile post office filled the gap by visiting the riverside four times a week from early November until Wednesday of this week.

The new year is beginning with a high note for Brora with the news that the village is to regain its full-time post office after three years making do with a mobile service.
Community leaders and local people have welcomed an official announcement this week that a post office is to reopen at 1pm on January 19.
It is to be operated out of gift shop Kelpies Treasure, located in a central spot on Argyll House on South Brae, and run by two couples, Andrew and Pat Smith and James and Fiona Cooke.

A new fixed-base post office in Wick is set to open in January â and the man behind the plans is confident he can make it work.
The temporary shop-based post office service will be set up in Wick in the former social work building in the town s High Street.
