We ve spent a year trapped in a nightmare. We ve seen a half-million people die in the U.S. We ve watched the places we ve loved boarded up and bankrupted. We ve gone crazy inside locked down, shut in and fed up. And we ve watched the world go crazy outside a soaring murder rate, riots, insurrection and Instagram videos of people screaming at Walmart greeters about masks. The good news is this is the kind of nightmare you can pinch yourself and wake up from. All we have to do is tap our heels together three times, poke your arm once or twice, and we can all go home again.
