Call it “The Executive Mansion Pro-Poor Wasteful Renovation Project” that has now cost nearly $40 million since the days of former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf from a minor fire incident that occured 15 years ago on our Indepedence Day, July 26, 2006. Liberia will be 174 years old this July and yet we can’t firgure out how to renovate the official home and office of the President of Liberia.
If this is not incompetence and corruption, then give it a new name: from a self-anoited Harvard University “Economist” President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to now a footballer-turned politician President George Manneh Weah.
Fishing communities placed an SOS call
Two fishermen, all residents of the Robertsport City in Grand Cape Mount county, have reportedly gone missing on the sea.
Local fishermen told this reporter that the fishermen left the shore of Kru Town Beach for the sea between the hour of 2 am and 3 am on April 15, 2021, and are yet to return home.
In an interview via telephone, the head of the Liberian owned fishing company Enisul Fisheries, Fablia Kamara, said that the men went deep sea with a paddle canoe (a canoe that has no motorized engine attached) where his team spotted another fisherman that had survived the storm at deep sea.

In an effort to empowering community women groups in Maryland, Maryland County Senator, J. Gbleh-Bo Brown, Wednesday, February 17, 2021, launches phase two of his micro loan scheme in the tune of (LD2,700,000) Two Million Six Hundred and fifty Thousand Liberian Dollars to various local business women groups.
Communities benefited from the gesture include: Old Kru Town, $LD300,000, Sedeleken-LD$100,000, Gbololu, LD$100,000, Gbewien, LD$100,000.
Other Women groups aided are: Feloken $LD200,000, Dedeabo $LD 200,000, Nyenoken $LD 150,000 while Manolu women benefited LD$ 100,000, Deklinken LD$100,000, Tugbaken LD$100,000, the Women of Gbeken smiled with LD$200,000, and the Women Gbon, took away LD$ 200,000 Gabwenken as part of their own change respectively.
