Ferragh, of Wandsworth, was caught by plain clothed officers A MAN from Wandsworth has been jailed after being caught red-handed dipping into a woman’s purse at Piccadilly Circus. Plain clothed officers, part of British Transport Police’ proactive theft team, witnessed Ferragh and another man acting suspiciously, walking closely behind a woman. The two men were arrested after officers caught them trying to steal the victims phone and bank cards from her handbag, on December 9, 2020. Walid Ferragh, 22, of Garratt Terrace in Wandsworth, was jailed for 16 weeks, which was extended to 38 weeks in prison for breaching a previous suspended sentence. Abdul Boumssaid
Sex offenders jailed across south east and south west London in 2020. It was not the best year for most, but 2020 saw a large number of suspects brought to justice for horrific crimes, among those some of worst sex offenders in the country. Whilst everyday life was badly affected by the pandemic, the courts were busy sentencing a variety of offenders to jail time, with the News Shopper reporting on their cases. Dozens were put behind bars, but perhaps the worst to be sentenced are the sex offenders, paedophiles and rapists. Their stories are not pleasant, but thanks to the excellent work of London police forces, those responsible for these crimes are now behind bars.
