Tests took place in 1969
(Reuters) - A U.S. Army veteran who took part in secret tests of toxic chemical agents is entitled to disability benefits going back before 2007, when he was finally allowed to discuss the tests, a federal appeals court has ruled.
In a unanimous decision on Wednesday, the Federal Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals reversed a ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims that Bruce Taylor was entitled to benefits beginning in February 2007, when he made a successful claim in connection with the secret tests, but not before. KEYNOTES: Rosemary returns from Arizona, Mexico vacation

Just returned from 10-day vacation in Tucson, Arizona and Rocky Point, Mexico, with Julie and Camille, daughter and daughter-in-law, my thoughtful and accommodating hostesses. My rollator provides the necessary mobility in most handicapped-accessibly areas. In between reading and crossword-puzzling, my hostesses provided delicious, healthy meals. They also hosted a five-day stay on the Sea of Cortez in Rocky Point, Mexico, at a lovely villa on the ocean. It was a five-hour trip southward for the drivers, me and their dog “Bodhi,” but worth every hour of viewing the mountains change from red to black, and continuous stretches of the tall

The Mojave River Valley Horsemen’s Association’s first show of 2021 featured an obstacle challenge held at Marjorie Coulter’s Ranch in Apple Valley in late February.
A hardy bunch of riders and handlers tackled the challenge, which left Judge Kathleen O’Malley with some tough decisions to make.
At the end of the day, Haley Samano, handling Second Hand Rose, took home the Mini Buckle, with Reserve going to Gina Cunningham and Jimmy.
In the Riding divisions, buckle winners were Stacie Sammuels, Beginner; Penny Mooney, Intermediate; and Brandi Sammuels, Advanced.
