(WTVF) — A 19-year-old in Wisconsin has been arrested in connection with a false shots fired call and bomb threat at Murray High School in Kentucky. The Murray Police Department said officers responded to the school for a shots fired call on Monday and a bomb threat on Tuesday. Both calls were deemed to be false. Police said they traced all of the phone calls related to the cases back to Kya Nelson, of Racine, Wisconsin. A search warrant was executed at his home Friday morning, and Nelson was taken into custody.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Kya Nelson for two counts of terroristic threatening in the second degree and one count of terroristic threatening in the first degree. “Detectives traveled to Racine, Wisconsin, and on Friday, Jan. 29, at approximately 7 a.m. they assisted with the execution of a search warrant at Mr. Nelson’s residence,” according to the press release sent by the MPD.
