It’s been a year like no other for everybody, on every level, and 2020 has marked a truly extraordinary year of record breakers and milestones in the UK’s Official Chart.
Incredible chart feat after incredible chart feat, achieved by a fascinating range of faces – from rising rappers to a 100 year-old war veteran, pop icons, rock legends and social media influencers - every one of them rewriting the history books in the process. Nobody can say that the Official Chart (and the world in general) hasn’t kept us on our toes in 2020.
East Lancashire neighbours will host doorstep disco to help see in the New Year A group of neighbours are planning a dance party from their doorsteps to welcome in the New Year. The five houses on Dalby Cresent in Cherry Tree, Blackburn, have been holding regular ‘doorstop discos’ since the first coronavirus lockdown. The idea came from ‘Reach For The Stars’, a national initiative to learn a routine and dance on your doorstep, which began in April. Since then, the neighbours have held a one hour disco on their driveways twice a week and are now planning a big New Year’s Eve dance.

Tina Barrett has said that her former S Club 7 bandmates are all keen to reunite and make new music together 17 years after they split.
S Club 7 rose to fame in 1999 with hits including Don’t Stop Movin’, Reach For The Stars and Never Had A Dream Come True however they split in 2003.
The singer, 44, has now revealed she s spoken to the former band - Jon Lee, Rachel Stevens, Jo O Meara, Hannah Spearitt, Bradley McIntosh and Paul Cattermole- and has said: We definitely want to do something new together.
