LDF for COSAFA Championship

THE Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) has confirmed enrolling the LDF Ladies’ team for the COSAFA Women’s Champions League.
The competition is expected to be held either in July or August 2021.
A Thursday statement from LeFA confirmed the enrolment.
“LeFA informs the football fraternity that it had a fruitful meeting with the management of LDF Ladies FC to map the way forward regarding their enrollment in the upcoming COSAFA Women’s Championship,” the statement reads.
“The enrolment is historic given that that the tournament is the first of its kind on the African continent and as such, both LeFA and LDF have made history.”

ZIMBABWE Women’s Soccer League champions, Black Rhinos Queens will represent Zimbabwe at the inaugural Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Women’s Champions League (CWCL), a build-up to the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League to be hosted by Morocco later this year.
According to a letter by COSAFA Secretary General Sue Destombes seen by NewZimbabwe.com, Black Rhinos Queens, who are home to several national team players including top striker Rutendo Makore, will come up against seven other teams in an eight-team regional tournament.
“Following previous correspondence on the above subject and the deadline set to confirm participation, we are pleased to advice that there will be eight participating teams in the inaugural COSAFA Women’s Champions League (CWCL) namely: Prisons XI (Botswana), Manzini Wanderers (Swaziland), Lesotho Defense Force (Lesotho), Costa Do Sol(Mozambique), Tyra Magic (Namibia), and Mamelodi Sundowns (South Afric
The eight clubs are Botswana s Prisons XI, Eswatini s Manzini Wanderers LFC, Lesotho s Defense Force, Mozambique s Costa Do Sol, Namibia s Tura Magic FC, South Africa s Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC, Zambia s Green Buffaloes and Zimbabwe s Black Rhino.
