Coweta Veteran Credits Police Chief With Saving His Life

Coweta Veteran Credits Police Chief With Saving His Life A Coweta Army veteran said he’s alive today thanks to the Chief of Police. The first time Brian Cagle and Coweta Police Chief Mike Bell met, Cagle said he was suicidal, addicted to drugs, riddled with grief from the death of his brother and PTSD from his time in the Army. I had an eviction notice on the door. I had no running water. I had no electricity. I had cellulitis all over my body from dirty needles and I was spiritually broken. I wanted to die, said Cagle.  Two years ago, Police Chief Mike Bell had been called to Cagle s home, by Cagle s mom.

Coweta Dispatcher Goes Extra Mile To Help Save Abducted Teenager

By: Sawyer Buccy COWETA, Okla. - A Coweta teenager is safe at home tonight partly because of the work of a dispatcher who went the extra mile. Police say the girl was abducted by a family member and officers were working to bring her home.  Good things can happen when hard work and perfect timing meet. It is one in a million. It happens elsewhere, not here in small-town Coweta, said Coweta Dispatcher Gavin Stickelmeyer.  The good thing in this story is that a 14-year-old abducted teenager is home safe and sound. Parents’ worst nightmare, and here I am raising my two grandkids thinking God, if this happened to my granddaughter what would I do? said Coweta Police Chief Mike Bell.
