Hospitals having more than 50 beds directed to install Oxygen Plants Hospitals having more than 50 beds directed to install Oxygen Plants Govind Sharma JAMMU, July 27: The Government today ordered all clinical establishment(s) and hospital(s) having more than 50 beds to establish an Oxygen Generation Plant of appropriate capacity for patient care. “All Clinical Establishment(s)/Hospital(s) situated within the territorial jurisdiction of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir having more than 50 beds shall establish an Oxygen Generation Plant of appropriate capacity for facility of patient care,” said the order issued by Additional Chief Secretary Health & Medical Education Department Atal Dulloo.

According to the reports, four persons of a family were travelling in their personal car bearing registration number JK02CM-7664 from Srinagar to Jammu but on reaching near Mehar area of Ramban at around 2.30 pm, driver of the car Rakesh Kumar, an officer of Railway Protection Force (RPF), lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into river Chenab flowing along the road.

Announced in Mar 2015, Bio Safety Level-3 Lab yet to be made functional in GMC Jammu Govind Sharma JAMMU, July 8: Even after the lapse of over six years, the Bio-Safety Level-3 could not be made functional in Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu while a similar lab announced at the same time for Kashmir was made functional in Chest Disease Hospital Srinagar around four years back. Official sources told Excelsior that after the outbreak of Swine Flu in the year 2015, the concerned J&K Government had announced two Level-3 Bio Safety labs, one for Jammu Division at GMC Jammu and another for Kashmir Division at Chest Disease Hospital, Srinagar so that such pandemics could be tackled effectively.
