Jaipur, April 6 : At a time when the Congress and BJP are engaged in a tug of war over three seats which will go for by-polls on April 17, the absence of Sachin Pilot from the Rajasthan stage has become a much discussed topic in political circles.
Pilot was last seen on the Rajasthan political stage on March 30 when the candidates filed their nominations. Ever since, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot s camp has been dominating the stage taking all strategic decisions while former Deputy CM Pilot s camp is to be seen nowhere.

Jaipur, April 5 : Rajasthan these days is witnessing the unfolding of an interesting political drama.
Ladulal Pitliya, a BJP leader who turned Independent before returning to the saffron party fold, has grabbed eyeballs for his frequent party-switching. On Monday, he came to the BJP office, claiming to be a disciplined party worker.
However, the ruling Congress government in the state soon put up a notice at his place directing him to go for home quarantine for 15 days referring to his inability to present a RT-PCR test report, indirectly stopping him from campaigning for the bypoll to the Sahada Assembly seat in Bhilwara scheduled on April 17.

Jaipur, April 1 : The by-polls being held on three seats of Rajasthan on April 17 are being looked upon as semi-finals of Assembly election 2023 as the results are being perceived as a report card for the ruling government, busy showing its united face and the opposition, which appears to be divided.
The bypolls are scheduled in Sahada, Sujangarh and Rajsamand districts of the state on April 17.
While the Congress has been successful in putting out a united face with both the Gehlot camp and former deputy CM Sachin Pilot camp jointly campaigning at election rallies, the BJP seems fragmented with former CM Vasundahra Raje nowhere in the picture, right from campaigning to nomination.

The ruling Congress in Rajasthan held two Kisan Mahapanchayats on Saturday as part of its farmer outreach and to kick-off its campaign for the four assembly by-polls. Significantly, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his former deputy Sachin Pilot not only spoke from the same platform but also shared the same helicopter as they flew to address the two Mahapanchayats in a bid to present a united face after many months of infighting.
Ever since Pilot rebelled against Gehlot s leadership last July, differences between the two have left the state Congress a fragmented house. Even recently during Rahul Gandhi s trip to Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot was made to come down from the dais at one rally, a move which left the Pilot camp hurt and angry.
