The Goa government will review the decisions taken by other states and consult with the Union education ministry before taking a call on the class 12 state board exams by Wednesday evening, said Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
Sawant held a meeting with the officials of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) and the state education department to discuss the pending exams.

The Goa education board, which cancelled its Class 10 final exams this year, has formulated a scheme for finalising the results of students based on their internal assessment conducted by schools during the academic year and an objective criterion developed by the board. The Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education s (GBSHSE) executive committee met on Saturday and prepared the scheme, which will have to be followed by all the schools affiliated to it.
Goa Board Exams 2021: The Goa government has cancelled the state board examination for Class 10 students in view of the COVID-19 outbreak, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said. A decision on Goa board Class 12 exams would be taken in the next two days.

Goa board exam 2021: Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has postponed Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) final exams until further notice. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the board will inform about the new exam dates 15 days in advance. Earlier, Goa Class 10, 12 board exams were scheduled to begin on April 24.

Last week, opposition parties in Goa demanded that Class 10 and 12 exams of the state board scheduled for April 24 be postponed or be held online in view of the rise in COVID-19 cases.
Senior Congress leader Digambar Kamat, Goa Forward Party chief Vijai Sardesai and Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte said the Pramod Sawant government must postpone these exams for the safety of students.
