Making a Mockery and Drafting for Need By CraigSkins on Apr 16, 2021, 3:27pm EDT +
I went into my final mock having come to terms with drafting for need to fill the two most glaring holes on this roster. Additionally, I knew I wasn t drafting a quarterback as I have an aversion to giving away draft capital. Nothing derails a rebuild (or in this case, a continued build) than not having a 1st round pick next year or the year after. Finally, I wasn t going to get all caught up in the depth of the OLine class. We go into camp with the 6th best OLine in the NFL. That s going to have to be good enough.

The NFL has released the numbers for performance based pay earned by players from the 2021 season. Each team hands out $8.5 million to their players based on playing time and salary. Some of the team’s lowest paid players can earn a healthy bonus based on playing time.

Players become eligible to receive a bonus distribution in any regular season in which they play at least one official down. The draft order was also rearranged in the 1st round with major trades involving the Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, and the San Francisco 49ers.
Todd McShay released his latest mock draft today, and he has the Washington Football Team taking Virginia Tech Offensive Tackle Christian Darrisaw. McShay doesn’t give Fitzpatrick long to enjoy his new OT before predicting Kellen Mond will join the Burgundy and Gold. Mond also goes to Washington in another mo
