Woman in Donegal was stalked for eight years by man who left underwear on her clothesline

A woman who has been stalked by a man for eight years found men’s underwear on her clothesline twice.
She awoke at 8am on one occasion to find the defendant sitting in his car on her property. On another occasion, she found dried, withered flowers and a can of men’s deodorant outside her patio door. The flowers contained a note requesting to go swimming with the victim.
William McCrea, 48, of Bridgetown, Ballintra was before Donegal District Court on Wednesday. He had previously pleaded guilty to a charge of trespass at the victim’s house at Mullinasole, Laghey on February 9, 2020. The charge related to the incident where the defendant awoke to find the defendant in his car on her property.

Two women appeared in court in relation to events at a house from which another defendant emerged with a deep head wound when gardaí were called to the scene.
Superintendent Colm Nevin told the court that one of these women was the girlfriend of the injured man, Michael Callaghan. She is 24-year-old Louise McMenamin of 436 Drumrooske Estate, Donegal Town.
McMenamin is charged with threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour and with being intoxicated to the extent of being a danger to herself or others. The alleged offences occurred at O’Duignan Avenue, Drumrooske Estate, Donegal Town on March 3, 2021.

A district court judge and a garda superintendent have both expressed concern about what went on in a house in Donegal where four people were arrested.
One of those arrested and brought before Wednesday’s sitting of Donegal District Court was 34-year-old Michael Callaghan of 436 Drumrooske Estate, Donegal Town. He had been due before the court in relation to alleged bail breaches regarding the charge of assaulting James Wilson and causing him harm at 436 Drumrooske Estate, Donegal Town on December 30.

That is according to Judge Kevin Kilrane who was speaking at Ballyshannon District Court on Friday.
Two men in their twenties were facing charges in relation to a fight which took place in Bundoran.
