WVU officials provide more details about fall semester By June 17, 2021 - 10:50 pm MORGANTOWN, W.Va. West Virginia University officials provided more details on Thursday behind the decision to fully reopen the three campuses for the fall semester. The university announced earlier this week the campuses in Morgantown, Keyser and Beckley will be open when the fall semester begins in August. Dr. Jeffrey Cohen, the dean of the institution’s School of Public Health, noted during a Return to Campus Conversation event that preventive measures and improved vaccination efforts are contributing factors in West Virginia’s declining rate of active coronavirus cases.

Also, Adam Craig of Wheeling is one of 42 other WVU seniors to be honored by the WVU Foundation as “Outstanding Seniors.” “Each spring, WVU recognizes its top graduates with the Outstanding Senior award and the Order of Augusta,” said Maryanne Reed, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. “These students have already become leaders, innovators and change-makers in their communities and beyond. I have no doubt that they will continue to ‘go first’ in everything they do.”
