ARB reprimands architect for practising without PI insurance
A Shrewsbury architect who practised for five years without professional indemnity insurance (PII) has been let off with a reprimand by the ARB
Corey Waters was found guilty of unacceptable professional conduct earlier this month by the ARB’s independent Professional Conduct Committee.

Waters, registered at 10 Bynner Street in the Shropshire city, admitted undertaking private work outside of his employment and without PII cover, which protects clients against costs from an architect’s errors.
But Waters told the committee he thought the risk was low and submitted a 22-page dossier containing photos of his work and positive email testimonials from his private clients.
